Engage for Faculty Members
Faculty members can participate in Engage.EU by going on Staff Mobility, partaking in the Engage Think Tank or other projects, or cooperate with colleague across Europe.
Faculty members can exchange their ideas with new research groups, get together with long-standing colleagues, and learn from leading experts from industry, politics, and academia through the Engage Think Tank. This forum allows researchers to completely focus on a research project - away from everyday business.
The Think Tank is the Advanced Study Centre of Engage. It is a forum for intensive interdisciplinary academic exchange where researchers address the critical societal challenges of our time, where boundaries of research and innovation are challenged, where outstanding collaborations become possible, and where original thinking is the norm.
The research theme in autumn 2022 is "The Role of Digitalisation for Sustainable Development and its Impact on European Business, Economics and Societies".
Preferably, the research project proposals have the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in mind. For instance, a research project might explore how digitalisation can transform working and living conditions, how digital transformation can ensure sustainable economic growth, or how digitalisation can help avoiding inequality in society.
The Grant Desk is a virtual knowledge and expertise centre that connects the grant support teams in our partner universities. The goal is to optimise the alliance’s acquisition and use of external funding. The main tasks include connecting and strengthening the support teams by communicating within the alliance and actively supporting applicants.
Staff mobility gives faculty members the opportunity to learn more about Engage, internationalization and student exchange.
The mobility must be relevant to the faculty member's job and give them the possibility to receive training, enhance their knowledge and skills, and gain new experiences. The employee must partake in organized training, workshops, job shadowing, seminars or language courses in order for the mobility to be approved. Faculty members will be entitled to Erasmus+ funding for the duration of the mobility.
