Norwegian men pushing prams during working hours have caught the attention of the EU. The EU and multinational corporations are now introducing paternity leave, inspired by the Norwegian father's quota.
Agnes Bamford is a PhD Research Scholar at the Department of Professional and Intercultural Communication at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
Her research interests include international business communication, intercultural communication and discourse analysis.
Bamford’s area of research is corporate communication on inclusion and equality in multinational corporations (MNCs), specifically global corporate parental leave policies.
Bamford’s teaching at NHH includes English for Business, the Internship Abroad Master Course and Innovation School.
Bamford has 20 years of international business experience, which includes working in financial services in London for Bloomberg LP, being a board member for the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce for seven years and running an intercultural business consultancy across Europe Middle East and Africa.
She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of London (2018), a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from University College London and she is also a graduate (siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics
