Ben Fram is a Phd Research Scholar at NHH who is primarily interested in empirical analysis of energy markets. More specifically, he is interested in using techniques from econometrics, operations research, and statistics to better understand the dynamics of markets for electricity and natural gas.

A native of New Jersey, Ben received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Environmental Studies at Oberlin College in Ohio and a master's degree in Economics from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.

Prior to his arrival at NHH, Ben worked as an energy analyst at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, the state regulatory agency for utilities, and then as a power market analyst at Monitoring Analytics, the independent market monitor for the PJM Interconnection LLC, the world's largest wholesale power market.
