Eirik S. Knudsen
I surprised many of my friends when I applied for the PhD-program at NHH.
I was offered a job at a consultancy firm long before finishing my studies, and I was determined to start working at this firm after completing my master degree.
However, after learning what the PhD programme at NHH was really about, it became clear to me that pursuing a PhD was the right thing for me to do. I wanted to dig deeper into the knowledge-base I had applied during my master thesis, and I didn’t like the idea of stopping my knowledge pursuit at a stage when the content and topics had become truly intriguing and fascinating.
The program has for sure lived up to my (rather high) expectations. I have worked closely with many great scholars as part of the research program “Crisis, Restructuring and Growth”, and been given the opportunity to present my work at international academic conferences as well as for Norwegian business leaders.
I have also been involved in teaching at NHH. The PhD programme at NHH is both challenging and fun and I give it my warmest recommendations.
